Students will be required to undertake a minimum of 100 hours of professional industry vocational placement within an approved Education & Care setting for successful completion of this qualification. Professional practice hours should be treated as a guide only. ACTAC is happy to assist students in finding and obtaining a suitable work placement if required.
Studying with Us (External Mode)
Students receive a Learning Guide which includes readings, activities and assessment. This allows students to study at a time and place convenient to them. All external students have a dedicated Trainer who provides regular support as well as on the job training and assessment.

Should you undertake this course of study with ACTAC you may complete HLTAID003 Provide first Aid as an elective unit. This unit cannot be completed through distance mode and requires a face to face class to be undertaken successfully in order for students to achieve competency in this unit. Because ACTAC is an online / distance educator this unit is not provided by ACTAC. Should students wish to complete this unit they must undertake this with a local provider at their cost and we can then provide a credit for this subject.
