INDUSTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students must complete at least 100 hours of a placement within an approved provider in order to satisfy the requirements of this qualification.
LEARNER OBLIGATIONS
All learners are required to ensure that their progression is maintained in accordance with the Training Schedule provided in the welcome email.
Where it is identified that a learner is not progressing in accordance with the Training Schedule, they will be provided with three written warnings. The final written warning may result in cancellation of their enrolment.
No refunds will be payable for learners failing to meet the obligations outlined above.
It is the responsibility of all learners to use registered post when mailing any correspondence to the College including completed workbooks and Third Party Evidence Collection Booklets and associated evidence. Learners are expected to retain copies of all correspondence with the College. The College takes no responsibility for undelivered correspondence.
It is the responsibility of all learners to source their own work placement and ensure that the provided placement resource checklist is signed by the learner and the workplace supervisor.
In the event that the facility is unable to provide all of the required facilities, equipment and resources, following confirmation by the College, it is the learner’s responsibility to find an alternative facility at which to undertake their placement. Where a learner is unable to locate a suitable placement, a proportionate refund may be offered based on the learner’s ongoing progression and completion of theory learning and/or assessment.

- A computer with reliable internet access and a web browser
- Digital presentation media (e.g. PowerPoint, video presentation, infographics)
- A registered School (Primary or High) to complete vocational placement and perform vocational placement tasks under the supervision of an industry expert who holds the qualification studied or equivalent or higher.

Industry Requirements
Students will be required to undertake a minimum of 100 hours of professional industry vocational placement within an approved Education & Care setting for successful completion of this qualification. Professional practice hours should be treated as a guide only.

Any of the units mentioned above is acceptable
Should you undertake this course of study with ACTAC you may complete HLTAID003 or HLTAID004 or HLTAID011 or HLTAID012 (Provide First Aid) as an elective unit. This unit cannot be completed through distance mode and requires a face to face class to be undertaken successfully in order for students to achieve competency in this unit. Because ACTAC is an online / distance educator this unit is not provided by ACTAC. Should students wish to complete this unit they must undertake this with a local provider at their cost and we can then provide a credit for this subject. If you need to undertake a first aid course try St Johns Ambulance.
