Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)

Direct Credits are those units with exact matching codes from other qualifications you have gained competency in.

ACTAC will provide credits for those units meaning that you do not have to complete those units again! We also offer a price reduction of $50 per unit

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available to all students whose enrolment is accepted to study with ACTAC

ACTAC has now implemented its new RPL process!

Not only does ACTAC provide RPL, where gaps are identified or a student does not qualify for RPL a student can complete the qualification normally without any further cost!

If you wish to apply for RPL it is always advisable to do so in an environment where you can complete any units that you may not be yet competent to obtain the qualification!

RPL is a method we use to recognise the knowledge and skills you may already possess. RPL does takes both your paid work and your volunteer work into account.

Your life experiences, previous qualifications and training can all be considered as part of this process. By utilising RPL you may be able to reduce the time it takes to get your qualification.

ACTAC’s new RPL process applies to the following nationally recognised qualifications by RPL Recognition of Prior Learning:

CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care RPL
CHC30213 Certificate III in Education Support RPL
CHC50113 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care RPL

There are many advantages in undertaking the RPL or Recognised Prior Learning process with ACTAC including.

It is important that students acknowledge and understand that RPL outcomes are guidelines and are not definite, the actual outcome and competencies issued in this manner may vary depending on the evidence, skills and knowledge demonstrated by the student through the process.  Students are required to sign an acknowledgment statement during this process should they wish to undertake the RPL process with ACTAC.

An application for RPL requires substantial evidence to be provided by the student in order to meet the industry standards for awarding credits.
