The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care will give you insights and experience into a broad range of vital skills needed as an early childhood educator. CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is the most up to date qualification on the AQF and will give you specialist skills and knowledge that is needed to work effectively as an early childhood educator or childcare centre director.

Course Duration

12 months with the ability to extend. (CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care)

Please note learners can be enrolled in only one course at any one time. You will need to complete your coursework and graduate in CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care before starting your Diploma.

* HLTAID012 cannot be completed through distance mode and requires a face to face class to be undertaken successfully in order for students to achieve competency in this unit. Because ACTAC is an online / distance educator this unit is not provided by ACTAC. Course Structure and Work Placement Hours

31 units in total, including 17 units for CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and 14 units for the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care,

You will also undertake a Work Placement minimum:

  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood of 160 hours
  • CHC50121Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care 280 hours

To enrol in this course you must be:

    • Australian Permanent Resident
    • Must hold a visa that allows domestic study (non-CRICOS)
